British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople announced on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on December 29th, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his team members.

Healing from Light Wounds

Joshua had been under observation while recovering from minor injuries, his management team had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two dear friends.”
