The loved ones of young people missing after a tragic blaze at a venue in a Switzerland's winter destination are enduring an agonising wait for confirmed information and pleading for any details about their loved ones via social media.

The fire devastated the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of New Year's Day. Verified video show the ceiling catching alight as bottles with sparklers are held aloft.

Authorities have stated that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the fire, which claimed the lives of numerous partygoers and injured another 119. Authorities stated on Friday that 113 of the injured have been identified, with efforts ongoing to identify the remaining few.

In the interim, loved ones have been posting on social media to appeal for any news about their missing relatives who were in attendance that fateful night.

Appeals for the Missing

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are currently unknown, according to an heartfelt request from his mother.
